ITINERARIES

To highlight some of the unique experiences that our beautiful region has to offer,

we have curated two suggested itineraries for your stay at Halcyon House.

A luxury Mercedes van is available for pick up from Coolangatta Airport,

as well as two Audi A1’s available at Halcyon House for guests to use at their leisure.

TWO NIGHT ITINERARY

Two Night Itinerary – Day 1

3pm / Arrive at Halcyon House to welcome cocktails at Paper Daisy.

 

5pm / Take a leisurely sunset walk along Cabarita Beach.

 

6pm / Dinner at Paper Daisy – A refined menu showcasing some of the best local produce our region has to offer. Confident coastal cooking in a relaxed setting, the food at Paper Daisy expresses the very best of the region’s unique produce and burgeoning culinary reputation.

Two Night Itinerary – Day 2

9am / Breakfast at Paper Daisy.

 

10am / Head south to Byron Bay. We recommend heading straight to Wategos Beach or The Pass where you can walk up to Cape Byron Lighthouse, Australia’s most easterly point. Take in amazing views to the north across Bryon Bay and south down Tallows Beach to Broken Head.

 

12pm / Stop by The Farm for lunch, a short drive out of Byron Bay. A glorious 32 hectare property with a focus on sustainable farming practices, designed to “grow, feed and educate” the community. The Farm is located at 11 Ewingsgale Road, Ewingsdale NSW.

 

3pm / Enjoy some pool time at Halcyon House, laze on the sun lounges and soak up the poolside service. The perfect time to enjoy an Aperol Spritz, our signature cocktail.

 

6pm / For dinner, sample executive chef, Ben Devlin’s degustation menu at Paper Daisy. A truly memorable gourmet experience and the perfect way to conclude your Halcyon House Stay.

THREE NIGHT ITINERARY

Three Night Itinerary – Day 1

Three Night Itinerary – Day 2

9am / Breakfast at Paper Daisy.

 

10am / Explore the hinterland. Venture inland to the town of Murwillumbah. Resting peacefully in the shadows of Mount Warning, Murwillumbah is decorated by pockets of sugar cane, banana plantations and hobby farms as well as some of the best examples of Art Deco architecture in the country. Stop in for a meal at Mavis’s Kitchen then feed your appetite for art at the Margaret Olley Art Centre, which celebrates the legacy of one of Australia’s most celebrated painters of still life and interiors.

 

2pm / Head back to Halcyon House and make use of our complimentary bikes. Cycle north to the township of Kingscliff, a leisurely ride dotted with coastal mansions and ocean views.

 

5pm / Enjoy a cocktail poolside at Halcyon House before dinner at Paper Daisy.

Three Night Itinerary – Day 3

7am / Rise and enjoy a morning walk around Norries Headland. The scenery  changes every couple of minutes as you head through a tunnel of remnant coastal rainforest, down along the popular surfing pointbreaks and up onto the headland where you will get uninterrupted views to the north and south.

 

9am / Breakfast at Paper Daisy.

 

10.30am / Relax by the pool or on the beach.

 

12.30pm / Lunch at Paper Daisy.

 

2pm / Head south to the small unspoiled town of Brunswick Heads. Located 15 minutes south of Cabarita Beach by the mouth of the Brunswick River. With a stunning backdrop of Mount Warning and surf beaches extending towards Byron Bay, Brunswick Heads provides guests with a mix of cafes, restaurants and activities. Well known for antique shopping and a burgeoning culinary scene, Brunswick Heads has something for everyone. Be sure to check out Resould and Lazy Bones boutiques and enjoy an afternoon drink at the historic Brunswick pub, a beautiful building that oozes charm in the center of town. 

 

6pm / For dinner, visit Fleet (Gourmet Traveller’s regional restaurant of the Year). The tiny shopfront offers a tight but interesting list of wines most of them available by the glass and a clutch of cocktails. Fleet is located at 2/16 The Terrace, Brunswick Heads, NSW.
